IndyCar sets deadline on aero kits

IndyCar has set a deadline of Friday for prospective aerodynamic kit suppliers to register their interest for the 2013 season. Aero kit competition was initially intended to come into force at the start of this year, but a decision was taken by the championship last August to delay their introductions until 2013 in order to keep costs down during the maiden season of the Dallara DW12 chassis. Chevrolet and Lotus had previously announced their intentions to produce new aero kits while Dallara has also said that it could either produce a kit for a non-racing client.
